Orbis Ministries Testimony
Typically, we post testimonies anonymously, but in this case, Dr J.P. Moreland has not only emailed his testimony, but has also included a YouTube video HERE and encouraged us to share it, for which we are grateful, not only to him, but especially to The Lord.

"In the summer of 2014, I began a 10-year battle with various kinds of cancer, e.g. prostate, colon, bladder, in my lymph nodes of my left shoulder, and all throughout my right cheek. As I write this, it is early November 2024, and I have had 21 surgeries in 10 years, almost all of them involving cancer.) In 2020 (4 years ago), I began to develop a large puffed-up area under my right eye. Scans showed that it was cancerous, and the cancer was wide—from my right nostril to my right ear—and deep—it had penetrated some of my cheekbones.

"Consequently, for the last 4 years, I have had 6 surgeries in my right cheek area. However, every time some cancer was removed, it came back within 6 months. In May, 2024, my surgeon told me that we had to stop this strategy because the cancer was coming back more quickly after each surgery. It was a losing strategy. So, he recommended radiation treatment. I found a radiation oncologist at UCI School [University of California-Irvine] of Medicine—Dr. Ho—who administered 40 radiation treatments from early July to mid-August. Dr. Ho told me that the cancer was so pervasive that treatment could not get all of it, so his goal for the radiation was to add a year or two to my lifespan. He said my life expectancy was between one and three/four years depending on how successful the radiation was.

"During this 4-year period, I also contracted bladder cancer. The good news is that of the four surgical biopsies, all the malignant tumors removed were small, non-invasive and non-aggressive. My last biopsy involved the removal of two small tumors both of which were benign. So, my bladder cancer was not and will not be life threatening the doctor told me if we stay on top of it.

"Over the last 4 years, I processed my health and future with the Lord and, eventually, I became basically at peace whether I lived or died. Still, I had a sense there was more work for me to do, especially providing for my family—my wife, two daughters and five grandchildren. But to be honest, I sensed the odds of me getting well were low, so I began to “get my affairs in order” as they say.

"In mid-October, Dr. Ho ordered two scans on my right cheek area—an MRI and a CT/PET scan which I scheduled and received. Last Wednesday (October 30) I was scheduled to go over the scans (one of which was a full body scan) with Dr. Ho and Tuesday (October 29) I was scheduled to see my eye surgeon to see how it was healing.

Well, Sunday October 27, Ken Fish preached at our church and then opened things up for people to receive prayer which I did. I met Ken about 10-15 years ago and, since then, I have followed his ministry with real interest. To me, Ken was intellectually engaged with his faith, he was a man of integrity, he combined Word and Spirit, and possessed and had demonstrated great supernatural gifts foremost being healing. So, I was excited and hungry for him to pray for me.

"During the 10-15-minute prayer time, Ken put his hands on me and lifted me up to God and spoke to my cancer to be gone by the Spirit’s power. I was impressed that he didn’t yell or do silly things to gain attention. He was calm but focused, alert, and dead earnest for my cancer to be healed. A great calm came over me and I could sense the Lord’s presence. After prayer, I felt uplifted and loved, but I did not detect any changes.

"On Monday morning (Oct 28) the results of both scans appeared on my patient portal, but when I tried to read them, I could not make sense of either since I don’t understand medical jargon. I have a close friend who is on the faculty of oncology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. I sent him both scans and asked if he could translate them and send me his translations. About two hours later, I got his translations. It was hard to believe what I was reading. The two scans (one was a full body scan) said that no cancer had been detected anywhere. My oncologist friend concluded by saying that according to the scans, there isn’t anything for me to worry about any longer. The next day (Tuesday) I showed the two scan results to my ophthalmologist at UCI and after reading them and bringing both scans up on his computer and compared them with scans of 8 months ago, he said, “JP, I don’t see anything here that should be of concern. The scans are telling us that there is no more cancer in your body. (This is tremendous news!). The following day, I met with my radiation oncologist—Dr. Ho—who ordered the scans. We were meeting to review the results. My wife, Hope, and I were waiting in one of the conference rooms when Dr. Ho came in and with a puzzled look, told us “I don’t see anything her of concern. You are cancer free. There may a few very small cancer cells, in your cheek area, but they could die since the radiation is still working for two more months. And since then, were not detected by the scans (assuming there are such tiny cancer cells there), they would be so small that it would take a long time for them to grow so as to be notifiable. And at that point, whatever growth became evident would be so small that we could easily eliminate it. We will keep our eyes open and do new scans every six months or so, but to be honest, I don’t think you have cancer.”

"In the ten years of my numerous cancers and 21 surgeries, I never—NEVER—had a scan that implied I had no cancer. All of them indicated areas where my cancer existed and was growing. The radiation specialist had no hope that the 40 treatments would get rid of the cancer and his goal was to add one or two years to my life. I had three top oncologists read both scans and they all concluded I am now cancer free. No doubt the medical treatments helped, but they cannot explain the scan results. While I believe the many who prayed faithfully contributed to this result, I have no doubt that it was when Ken Fish spoke against cancer in me and implored the Lord to kill it all. I am thankful to God for bringing brother Ken to me at just the right time to pray for and actually see a miracle in my body. Ken, my whole family thanks you for your ministry to me."
