Welcome to the Vineyard!
You are welcome here! We're located in downtown Elgin in a historic building with a beautiful new sanctuary. Our worship style is a bit like our building . . . built on tradition but beautifully contemporary.
Sunday service is at 10 am
Good to know!
What to wear
You'll see a lot of jeans at our church, but also slacks and dresses and shorts. Come however you're comfortable. We do!
Be sure to stop at our Welcome table in the lobby. We have a gift for you!
Coffee is on us!
Doors open at 9:30 am. There's always a selection of coffee brewing downstairs in the Community Room. If you love coffee like we do, be sure to grab a cup before the service starts, or choose from the wide variety of teas. Our treat! We're pretty casual here — if you put a lid on it, feel free to bring your coffee into the service.

What our service looks like
We begin at 10 am with about 25 minutes of singing — adults and children together, praising the Lord or simply enjoying the atmosphere of worship. Feel free to sit or stand and worship with your hands raised — or not. How you worship is between you and the Lord!
After a couple of songs in which the kids can worship God, too, we dismiss our children for Vineyard Kids ministry. We always send them off with a prayer of blessing.
Every week, we have the opportunity to be encouraged and challenged by the Word of God through inspiring messages that apply biblical truth to everyday life.
We celebrate communion every Sunday to remember what Jesus did for us when He went to the cross.
The service concludes with a ministry time for all who would like to receive personal prayer. Our team is trained to handle your prayer requests sensitively and confidentially.
After the service, join us downstairs in the Community Room for coffee, tea and treats. This is prime time for our church family to connect with each other and welcome new friends!
