I'm New

Sunday Service at 10 am

Welcome to the Vineyard

We'd love to have you visit! We're located in downtown Elgin in a historic building with a beautiful new sanctuary.
Our worship style is a bit like our building . . . Built on tradition. Beautifully contemporary.

What you'll want to know

Where to park

We have a small parking lot set aside for guests and the elderly on the west side of our building, and there is more parking available in the lot across Center Street or the city garage on Highland Avenue.

What to wear

You'll see a lot of jeans at our church, but also slacks and dresses and shorts. Come however you're comfortable!

Coffee's on us

Doors open at 9:30 am. There's always a selection of coffees brewing downstairs in the Community Room—if you love coffee like we do, be sure to grab a cup before the service starts, or choose from the wide variety of teas. Our treat! We're pretty casual here—feel free to put a lid on it and bring your coffee into the service, if you want.

What you can expect

Worship

We begin at 10 am with about 25 minutes of singing—adults and children together, praising the Lord or simply enjoying the atmosphere of worship. Feel free to sit or stand and worship with your hands raised, or not. How you worship is between you and the Lord!

Kingdom Kids

After a couple of songs in which the kids can worship God, too, we dismiss our children for Kingdom Kids. We always send them off with a prayer of blessing.

Message

Every week, we have the opportunity to be encouraged and challenged by the Word of God through inspiring messages that apply biblical truth to everyday life.

Communion

We celebrate communion every Sunday to remember what Jesus did for us when He went to the cross.

Prayer ministry

The service concludes with a ministry time for all who would like to receive personal prayer. Our team is trained to handle your prayer requests sensitively and confidentially.

Community

After the service, join us downstairs in the Community Room for coffee, tea and treats. This is prime time for our church family to connect with each other and welcome new friends!
