No one in heaven or earth or under the earth was found worthy to open the scroll: not Mary, the mother of Jesus, not Abraham, nor the early church apostles, not the founders of Buddhism, Islam and other religions. John saw that only Jesus Christ--pictured as both the Lion and the Lamb--was found worthy.
