Ken Hansen

Bookkeeper

Ken grew up in a small, western Nebraska town he describes as Mayberry RFD. The town still had telephone operators and party lines in 1971. His father died when he was a boy, and his mom was left to finish raising the younger kids. She made sure they all were in church and Sunday School every week and Vacation Bible School every summer.

But in the mid-80s, Ken began searching for answers to what he calls gaps in his life. As a visitor to a new church, he came to realize he needed a personal Savior, and he asked Jesus to come into his life. Since then, he’s been on a journey to fully appreciate God’s forgiveness and grace and serve according to His will.
Ken recently retired from a career in sales management for national manufacturers of U.S.-made hand tools and other construction trade products.

His hobbies include golf, yard work, handyman projects and movies. Ken and his wife, Sue, live in Elgin. Their three grown children, son-in law and two granddaughters are the center of their life, along with their English pointer, Rosey.
