Join us online Sunday at 10 am

In response to the challenges and new opportunities presented by COVID-19, Elgin Vineyard is worshiping online only.  Join us at our usual worship time: Sundays at 10 am. We'll be in three locations:
  • Right here on our website: click the orange button above
  • Facebook:
  • Mobile app: Available in your app store. Search for Vineyard Church of Elgin.

Our service begins, as always, by praising the Lord and inviting His presence. Pastor Tom continues to bring us the Word in the context of his Spiritual Workout series, and time is set aside for prayer.

How other church ministries are affected by COVID-19:
Community Groups: Most have suspended meeting for now, but some will soon be meeting online . For an up-to-date listing, click here.
Youth ministry: All in-person activities are canceled for now; in the meantime, our students are gathering together online.
Breakfast ministry: We want to be faithful to feed the hungry, yet honoring to the guidelines that our government leaders have handed down. We have suspended hot breakfast and switched to bag lunches. This allows us to invite breakfast guests into the building 10 at a time to briefly warm up, use the restroom, grab a meal-to-go, then exit so 10 more may come in.
Street Reach: Similarly, food is prepared for takeout. Weather-permitting, our guests remain outside and choose what they want from a posted menu. Servers deliver from the kitchen. Only 10 volunteers are allowed in the building; others visit outside with the guests to find out how they are doing, if they need anything, if they'd like prayer. If it rains, packaged meals are provided. The mealtime is moved up to 6 pm.
Colombia mission trip: We will be postponing our church’s spring mission trip to Medellin, Colombia, and hopefully reschedule it for fall.

Our church leaders will continue to monitor the situation to determine how long some of these measures need to be in place. Our current worship status—either online-only or church-as-usual—will be posted on our website and Facebook page. We will let you know when things change.

Nothing in our current situation has caught the Lord off guard, and we are confident He has plans to continue building up and encouraging His Church. We're thankful for the tools that allow us to continue interacting with each other and are excited to try new things.

God bless us all as we continue to seek Him during these extraordinary times. Be praying for His grace and peace for our families, our church body, our nation and our world.
