Great food, great conversation & talks that make you think

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, built around a talk and a group discussion. The Alpha series is a worldwide phenomenon, and everyone is welcome to attend—no church affiliation necessary.

The talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation. They explore the big issues of faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith?

Possibly the most important part of Alpha is what comes after the talk: the chance to share your thoughts on the topic and simply discuss it in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything, and there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

This fall, Elgin Vineyard will be offering Alpha in two venues:

Alpha Online  |  Mondays,  Sept. 14- Nov. 23  |  6:30-7:45 pm  |  In conjunction with Second City Church in Chicago  |  Facilitated locally by Len and Claire Kruse

Please note that, due to the COVID-19 climate, there will be no food with Alpha at this time.
