We’d love to have you join us for worship. Our church is located in downtown Elgin, in an historic, 112-year-old building with a beautiful new sanctuary. We have a small parking lot set aside for guests and the elderly on the west side of our building, and there is more parking available in the lot across Center Street.
What to Expect
We are a come-as-you-are kind of church, so t-shirts and jeans are just as welcome as dress clothes. Our doors open at 9:30 a.m. so you can get a cup of coffee downstairs in the Community Room. The service begins at 10 and ends about 11:30 a.m.
We begin with about 25 minutes of worship—adults and children together, praising the Lord or simply enjoying the atmosphere of worship.
After announcements and offering, we break briefly for parents to take their children--infants through 6th grade--downstairs to Kingdom Kids. You can get more information on our children’s ministry here.
Following the break, we have the opportunity to be encouraged and/or challenged by the Word of God. Our pastors preach from the Word, delivering messages that apply biblical truth to everyday life.
We celebrate communion every Sunday to remember the cross.
The service concludes with a ministry time for all who desire personal prayer. Our prayer team is trained to handle your prayer requests sensitively and confidentially.
After the service, we invite you to join us downstairs in the Community Room for coffee and treats.
