We’d love to have you join us for worship. Our church is located in downtown Elgin, in an historic, 112-year-old building with a beautiful new sanctuary. We have a small parking lot set aside for guests and the elderly on the west side of our building, and there is more parking available in the lot across Center Street.
What to Expect
We are a come-as-you-are kind of church, so t-shirts and jeans are just as welcome as dress clothes. Our doors open at 8:30 a.m. There’s always a selection of coffees brewing downstairs in the Community Room; if you love coffee like we do, be sure to grab a cup before the service starts. Our treat!
We begin with about 25 minutes of worship—adults and children together, praising the Lord or simply enjoying the atmosphere of worship.
After worship and announcements, we dismiss our children for Kingdom Kids, and parents escort the younger ones downstairs. We always send the kids off with prayer. You can get more information on our children’s ministry here.
Every week, we have the opportunity to be encouraged and/or challenged by the Word of God. Our pastors preach from the Word, delivering messages that apply biblical truth to everyday life.
We celebrate communion every Sunday to remember the cross.
The service concludes with a ministry time for all who desire personal prayer. Our prayer team is trained to handle your prayer requests sensitively and confidentially.
Whether you come to the early service and stay after, or come to the late service and arrive early, we invite you to join us in the Community Room between services (10:30-11 a.m.) for coffee and treats. This is prime time for our church body to connect with each other and with our newcomers.
