God loves to empower kids! Convinced of this truth, our youth group has changed its name to 220. Why? Because a 220-volt electrical circuit, more powerful than an ordinary 110, reminds us that we're amped up on God's love and powered by his Spirit. Discovering all that is available to us as Christ-followers jolts us into living our lives with meaning.
If you're in middle school or high school, 220 is for you. Finding out his purpose for us is electrifying! Join us as we seek him together.
When and where: Sunday nights from 5 to 7:15 at the church. Use the alley entrance for pick-up and drop-off. We kick off Aug. 27 and Sept. 3, then get out of town for a weekend retreat Sept. 8-10. No meeting at the church on Sept. 10.
What to expect: We hang out (games and food!), and we pursue the Lord together. We worship, search the Scriptures and pray for each other. As we learn to allow Holy Spirit to charge and recharge our spiritual batteries, we also learn to let his life-giving, life-changing current flow through us to others.
Fun facts: Formerly known as Transform, 220 also references Galatians 2:20. This foundational verse declares, "My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." (NLT) 220 also happens to be the Vineyard’s street number on Division Street!
